This game is televised on ESPN. Tulsa coach Todd Graham said he will not publicly name his starting QB because he doesn’t want Tulane to know until kickoff. However the team knows who it [...]

Perhaps you heard that A-Rod makes a lot of money. But, did you know, it takes Mr. Kate Hudson 6 pitches to earn what the average american brings home eary 4 years. A-Rod earns $16,666 per pitch, or $100,000 for every 6 pitches he sees. You think that’s crazy, Big Ben Roethlisberger brought in $100,000 [...]

West Coast Bias is a weekly blog designed to defend college sports on the west coast. The national media is largely based in the eastern United States and does not look beyond the Rocky Mountains when talking college sports. This leaves a huge market for any national or local sports news organization to cash in on and create a market. If a successful business approach is to find a void and fill it is true, this is it. West Coast Bias is just opportunistic voice to speak where so little have spoken before. There are three major conferences on the left side of the Rockies in the PAC-10, Mountain West, and Western Athletic Conferences. There is something to write about out here and someone should step up and cover it. I did just that!

Ok Isiah has a point. I can’t believe I said that. Anywho, the Gazelle Group, who are the organizers for the Coaches Versus Cancer Classic, apparently changed the opening round games of Ohio State, North Carolina, Alcorn State, and Thomas’ Florida International. The tourney schedule did have Alcorn State playing North Carolina and Florida International [...]

Soccer expert, Steve Cohen, stepped down from his national radio show as Liverpool fans threatened his family with harm and Cohen said enough is enough..
This all started a couple of weeks ago, when Cohen on his broadcast said that the tragedy that killed almost 100 at Liverpool two decades ago wasn’t just the fault of [...]

As we all know sports wagering is a tough business, but Monday’s San Francisco encounter with Colorado, as they say takes the cake..
First of all if you’re a Totals player and had the Under, you had to like your chances 1-1 in the fourteenth inning. You still had to like your odds when the Giants [...]

THE STATE OF OUR SOX AUGUST 18, 2009
NO ZINE NEXT WEEK
It is time to take stock of our Sox. The underachievers (Drew, Ortiz, Bay) have been better of late. Big Papi tied Friday’s game with a 2-run homer and started the 9th inning rally with a double. Drew hit a two-run dinger to ice [...]

If Aaron Rodgers, Matt Cassel, and Trent Edwards have a great season this season, they will become the minority group of modern day Pac-10 quaterbacks that have seen success at the NFL level.
Now Mark Sanchez, Derek Anderson, and Carson Palmer are from Pac-10 schools too, but I don’t see them having much success this season. [...]

”If there isn’t a Waffle House in the Twin Cities, Brett Favre is missing out on Tiger type endorsement money.” Michael Hunt, your description of Favre in the Minneapolis Star Tribune was brilliantly stated. While it’s obvious Favre’s waffling act isn’t nearly as egregious as Michael Vick’s dog slaughter spree, I truly believe a lot [...]

If rumors are correct, Allen Iverson has found a home after all in the NBA. He’ll be gunning away for the Charlotte Bobcats and coach Larry Brown.
This is the Larry Brown, who has totally made over this team, as we all knew he would, since taking the reins two years ago.
This is the Larry Brown [...]
