Hey Cleveland, in the words of that great philosopher, The Joker, ‘‘this town needs an enema.” I understand you’re hurt. Sure, what LeBron James did was nothing short of classless, thoughtless, gutless, and many other words that end in less. And, despite what delusional Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert thinks, your team will not win an NBA title before LeBron and all the King’s men embrace the Larry O’Brien trophy in Miami. However, it’s not like LeBron took your franchise with his talents to South Beach. He did not pull an Art Modell. You still have a team, and as they said in Major League, one of my all time favorite flicks, you still have real uniforms and everything. In seven years with the Cavs, James led your team to a grand total of zero NBA titles. And, in the recently concluded playoffs, James was definitely a no-show for at least one game and perhaps as many as three. James showed his true colors during his ESPN self-promoting, vomit causing special, and they are not wine and gold. Those colors are reserved for non-back stabbing thoughtful men who want to play in Cleveland, and who understand what it means to honor and respect a fan base that has great support for its players. Cleveland, you may not have King James, but you still have Drew Carey, The Flats, and Indians. Come to think of it, I do feel sorry for you. Where’s the enema?
