Discover a Potential Star

Part of my mission here is to offer some suggestions to those of you who casually peek at the sport of boxing. If you are in that category you probably are not aware that on Saturday, May 30, HBO is showing a card that features a potential superstar. You can discover Alfred Angulo, a Mexican Olympian who is on the verge of doing big things.

On Saturday Angulo puts his 15-0 record on the line against Kermit Cintron, a former welterweight champion. Angulo is an exciting fighter with power, who has a hell bent for leather style that anyone can appreciate. He is already a favorite of Mexican and Mexican-Americans fans, and all he needs is a stage on which to display his skills for all boxing fans to embrace him.

This is a major step for him, a win gets him a world title shot. Cintron is a good veteran fighter, hardly on the downslide, but still the underdog in this match. It should be an exciting fight for however long it lasts. Angulo is a smart young man—he shows up at all the major fights and middle level ones to greet fans and make himself available. He wears a suit and tie and has a smile that lights up the room. In short, he markets himself to the base. Now that base can be expanded with a win Saturday night. Check him out and discover a potential superstar.
